First time trying some genuine Filipino food and it didn't disappoint. There was a lot to choose from and each selection was exciting to a newbie to this cuisine!

Each item was prepared with love since they all tasted like it was cooked by a mother or a grandmother - which is very rare these days at restaurants. If you like meat, this is your place. Had a ton of different pork dishes with some beef, chicken and fish to add variety. Reminded me of my own family's food when my own grandma was still with us and all of her daughters and us kids would meet at grandma's house on Sunday! I miss those days, and if you're looking for a great place to try something new, this is your place.

Would have earned five stars if not for the messy decor and lack of ambience when you're trying to enjoy your meal....the food was spectacular but the restaurant itself was a bit of a downer. Will definitely be back to enjoy the wonderful food and friendly people who work here.

I'm very open minded when it comes to food. I tried this place because I do not know much about Filipino cuisine. But overall I did not like the food at all. Everything was either overly oily or the taste was way too salty, or fishy. I will say the garlic rice was amazing. The beef stew was really good however everything else just didn't pan out for me. May be it was just this location. We don't have much Filipino places in Houston but may be in the future I'll give it a try once again.

There seems to be a lack of Filipino restaurants in Houston cause the ones that exists are either in the med center (very few) or WAY outside the loop.  I met a Filipino couple one day and they told me to check this place out, so I finally make the trek out here this weekend.  I have to say, it is a buffet so I didn't have high expectations.  I would agree with other reviewers and say that you should come out here when they open or during prime hours so that the food is fresh and you have ample selection.  We came on a Saturday around 2pm and the food has probably sat out for a bit and they were running out of a few things by that time.  I did, however, get most of the things I wanted.  The pancit was pretty good.  The adobo was a bit vinegary but my Filipino friend liked it that way, and I thought it wasn't bad.  The lumpia could've been warmer and crispier - you can tell they were sitting out for awhile and the sauce was all gone.  They had corn beef and potatoes, my friend's mom used to make this so it took me back to those days and as simple as it is, I loved it.  I think people felt the same cause there was barely any of this left.  The garlic rice was a bit on the greasy side and the halo halo looked pretty spectacular (you order this separately for $6.99) but lacked in toppings and flavors.  I was disappointed it didn't look anything like the other halo halo pictures posted on here!

The staff are friendly and takes your drink orders very quickly.  The restaurant itself is a bit dark and dingy BUT way better than the Bissonet location. There is a good selection of food for everyone and it hit the spot. Though I wouldn't go out of my way to make the trek all the way out here again just for this.  However, I would stop by again if I was in the area and looking for something to eat.

I'm from San Diego so I know good lumpia and pansit when I taste it!! And this place has both and I have already told several people about this place!! Especially with the all you can eat to top it off!! Awesome food and good atmosphere!

Took the family to try something new.  They never had it before.  If you like eating in a mess hall, this is the place for you.  I swear I was in a HOT TUB TIME MACHINE back to the 80's because the tables, chairs, and the whole restaurant was still stuck in the 80's.  I'm not trying to be mean, but damn upgrade the place.  For a family of 4, the bill was around $65....do you know why?   The fountain machine doesn't even work, so we had to order 8 cans of drinks to wash down the food.  Why in the hell do they have a fountain soda machine that doesn't even work.  If you aren't going to fix it, then get rid of it.  I didn't even take a picture of the food...IPhone didn't exist in the 80's.
